Uninstall of 2007 Caused 2003 to Stop Working

Just uninstalled 2007 beta. Now 2003 programs either do not open, or open
with error messages, or a Windows Installer window flashes on and off, and
then program opens. What gives?? Is my only recourse a reinstall of 2003?
