uninstall office professional 2003

Jo

I installed Office Enterprise 2007. I thought it would automatically
uninstall my Office Professional 2003, but it did not. Now it wont let me
uninstall it. :(

It says:
"The system adminstrator has set policies to prevent this installation."
"You do not have sufficient access to uninstall Microsoft Office
Professional Edition 2003. Please contact your system administrator."

The odd thing is, I do have administrator under my user profile, and I have
tried to uninstall that under both of the user profiles assigned to the
computer and the same thing keeps popping up. Please help! :)

Check this site out:

In addition your Office Pro 2003 CD might have uninstall options when you
load it.

Also you might consider uninstalling Office Enterprise 2007 before
attempting uninstall of Office Pro 2003.

Thank you very much!

I uninstalled Office Enterprise 2007. Then I put in my Office Professional
2003 cd and it did have an option to uninstall it, and it worked great! Now
my Office Enterprise 2007 has been put back in and I am up and running!

Have a great day!

Hi Jo:

Glad that everything worked out for you!

Most of the time it is always best to uninstall an application such as
Office Pro 2003 prior to installing a replacing application. I always try
and read what the new application says about installing etc, as a lot of
them will give you a heads up.
