uninstall office with CD utility

hi all,
can anybody tell me what is the difference between uninstalling office from
control panel or from CD?
Why does the CD offer this option too?

It should be the same. Once it's gone, it's gone. The CD offers this
option so you can remove a damaged installation where not even uninstall
works.
