You know, many people here attempt to provide help to posters who ask for
it, including me. However, very few people are inclined to assist folks who
include insults and negativity in their posts, including me. As for how Mr.
Gates got his claws into you, you asked for it.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, AC asked:

| Any ideas how to uninstall (i.e. remove all traces) of Office XP
| professional from the system without resorting to formatting the hard
| disk and installing OS from scratch?
|
| I want a list of registry entries which I need to delete so that
| there is no trace of Office XP. I want to install Office 97 as it is
| the best for my purpose i.e. basic word-processing and excell.
| Sometimes basic Access and PowerPoint.
|
| Never again will I buy a gigantic package such as XP or Office 2003.
| Who on earth uses all the finicalities of modern packages? No wonder
| M$ products have more problems than any other!
|
| I wish the Install and Uninstall was as simple as just clicking the
| Mouse on the necessary progs but no. Bill Gates has to make it
| difficult so that you can't get away from his claws.

This is a technical forum...not a soapbox for ranting fools. Since think you
are so smart, since you think you know everything, figure it out for
yourself.

be sure to program your spellchecker (correctly) in open office when you switch (if you can find one for it)

I don't think this does what you think it does. This program will remove
outdated setup information.
