uninstalling pirated software

Shelley

I am trying to remove pirated software from a computer and I receive a
message that it cannot find a "patch". How do I work around that to remove
the software.
Thanks.

What software are you trying to remove?

Shelley, we can't see what you're doing there, so you gotta give us more
info.

What software? (I assume Office, as this is an Office newsgroup, but what
version of Office? 2000? XP? 2003? Go to Help/About to check.)

What is the exact error message you receive? (There are about a million on
Windows and Office. It's not fair to make us guess, and besides, we'd
probably be wrong.)

What operating system are you using? (What version of Windows?)

How are you trying to remove the software? (Add-Remove Programs in Windows
Control Panel?)

They are running Windows XP Home Edition. The software is trying to be
removed by going to add/remove under control panel. The software is Access
2003, Excel 2003, PowerPoint 2003.
Thanks.

Thanks - I'll check it out!

This is all I can find in the MSKB with the word "patch" related to Office
2003.

Again, if we had the error message, it would help.
