Uninstalling program

Linda

I purchased a Dell desktop with Microsoft Works Suite 2002 already installed. It appears that my Word is corrupted however, I am unable to uninstall or repair the program even though I have the CD. I get a message saying the "installer has been prematurely terminated". Is there anything I can do?
