Unique ID changed when I re based the Project plan why?

I re base lined my project plan and the Unique ID's changed why ? Has anyone
else had this happen to them?

Hello Francis,

What version of Project are you using? What service pack is applied? I
don't recall seeing any postings about the issue so perhaps a bit more
information from you may help.

I don't see any reason why that would happen. Can you tell us the steps you
took to baseline? Is the project part of a master project?
