Unistall Word 2007

Everytime I start Word it tries to recover previous documents. If I recover
or work on a new document, Word soon stops responding. If I try to print, it
stops responding. To be very clear, Word stops responding everytime I use
it. Can I just unistall Word and reinstall it?
