Unistalling Outlook 2003

After uninstalling Outlook 2003(on my new laptop), I installed Outlook 2000.
Now when I try and restore my PST file (my older laptop) in my new laptop, I
get an ERROR message.

It reads, "properties for this information service must be defined prior to
use".

any suggestions, as I need my email on my new computer.

[email protected] or post to this thread,

thanks,

If your *.pst file is in the newer Outlook 2003 format, you'll need to
convert it to the data format that is used in prior versions in order to
access it in Outlook 2000. Outlook 2003's data format is not backward
compatible with earlier versions of Outlook. Unfortunately, to accomplish
this, you'll need access to an installed version of Outlook 2003 in order to
change the data file format back again.
