Michelle,
I assume you are referring to fields that contain Work or Duration
values (including the timescale values in either Usage view). The "h" in
those fields cannot be turned off although the values can be stored in a
spare text field with the "h" truncated - although I'm not sure how
useful that would be.
Instead of telling the specifics of how you want to do something, why
not tell us your end goal. Then we can suggest an appropriate solution.
