University Load

We bought a Dell through their partnership with a
University. The laptop came with Office Pro installed.
The University web site indicates that they have an
agreement with Microsoft for students to use the
program. Dell did not send the disks and therefore we do
not have the Product Key Code to activate the program.
Dell claims they do not have it and will not send
replacement disks.

How do we proceed to get the Product Key Code to activate
Office and how do we get disks to have as backup in case
the program needs to br reloaded?

Hi, Jim. Usually with preinstalled software, you get some kind of certificate of authenticity (in the paperwork that came with your computer) that tells you what the product key is.

That was my point with Dell, but they said this was
supplied with the university image and no disks or other
documentation was supplied.
