Unknown Driver Error

*Please excuse my post if it is being posted in the wrong section, I
didn't know which discussion group it belonged in so I put it under General
Questions.

My computer has recently been acting up. It restarts itself in the first
10-15 minutes whenever I first turn it on. One time after it restarted
itself, I received an error message/report from Microsoft informing me that
it had to be the cause of a newly installed software with different or old
and unmatching driver(s). But it didn't tell me which one so I am unsure of
what to do. It also gave me three ways I could do by myself to see if I can
set my computer back to normal functioning mode.

I already tried the System Restore option, and then I ran a Windows XP
update, but my computer is still restarting itself and I can't seem to figure
out what to do. I even came on this site and searched for possible
resolutions to this problem but so far I haven't been directed to any
beneficial suggestions.

The only symptoms I get is that my computer self-restarts. Everything
else, like all the programs on my computer work perfectly fine. If anyone
knows how I can fix this problem, please let me know. Thank you.

Yes, you're in the wrong place. This isn't for general questions, this is
for the Access Database program. You need to scroll down the list and look
for one of the Windows XP newsgroups. Before you do that, there may be
something you can do to give you more information to offer them so that they
can help you.

Open Control Panel then open the System applet. Go to the Advanced tab and
click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery. Under System Failure,
uncheck Automatically Restart and click Ok twice to close the dialogs.
You'll need to reboot for the changes to take effect. The next time your
computer crashes, it shouldn't reboot. Instead is should stop at what is
know as a BSOD or Blue Screen of Death. There should be information on that
screen that will help the WinXP folks figure out what's wrong. You'll need a
pen and paper to write that information down.
