"Unknown Error" when update task info in project server2007

I installed project server 2007, and publish a project to the project server.
In pwa, I can see the tasks assiged to me in "my tasks" page, but when i
change the task info (such as percentage) and click save, i receive an
"Unknown Error" error message. who can tell me why?
I can change the values by outlook addin, but by pwa, i can't update my tasks.

Is that the only error message you get? Can you correlate the error message
in PWA to an entry in the logs?

I reinstalled the project server in a new machine, and it works fine. Maybe
there's something wrong in my first installation.
But it seems the installation of project server is a little too
difficult,there's so many servers,services,web app and web site needed to be
installed,created and configed. Although I finally installed it successfully,
I still don't understand the meaning of many steps.

Anyway, thanks for your reply very much :)
