My laptop crashed while working with a variety of apps opened including
groove running in task tray, but groove wasn't open.

Had to crash laptop and since then groove will not open and i get the
following error message.

Unknown Error 0xD00000006
HR Results : 0xD00000006
Process: groove.exe (ID: 1152 (0x000000480)
Thread ID : 2616 (0x00000a38)

I have tried reinstalling groove but this hasn't helped, still get same error

anybody have any suggestions?

Hi,

Try to use grooveclean -all to clear all account data and workspace.
Retrieve your account from Groove.net by click new account -> using exist
Groove account. Here is a KB about grooveclean:
