Unlocked Folder discrepancy Outlook 2003 .pst Password

Str8Mitch

I was going to add a password to my .pst folder, but when I try using a blank
Current Password & enter the New Password (2xs), I get an message saying that
I have an incorrect password. I have also tried using my default password & I
get the same message. ***When I open Outlook, the folder is open & does not
request a password. Does that mean that is is not password protected, or does
that not necessarily mean anything relating to whether the folder is
protected or not?

Thanks

If when you start Outlook, your PST opens without requesting a password,
then it is not password-protected. To add a password, leave "Old passsword"
empty and add the password you wish to the other two password fields.
