unmanaged Groove 2007 to Groove 2007 Server steps and pitfalls

Howdy! I have about 100 people using Groove in an unmanaged way through
Office 2007 right now. Problems with them forgetting their passwords, losing
their info after a machine crash, etc are leading me to consider converting
to the Groove Server. I'd use Active Directory for the user accounts, but how
would I make the switch to Groove Server as painless as possible in this
situation? That is, not lose any of the information that is already in the
Groove workspaces, and transition everyone to the centrally managed
environment? I haven't found a white paper on this. Is there one out there?
Thanks for the help!!

Hi Bob,

Migrating a Groove account (from a non-managed to a managed environment)
can be rather simple, and should not result in any loss of data.

There are various approaches though. Therefor, I would suggest to
contact me by e-mail or via Groove to continue our exchanges on the
migration subject as well as on other subjects like Groove
infrastructure, security and integration with SharePoint or third party
solutions.

FYI, our company is expert in Groove technologies since 2001.
I am convinced that we can be of help to you :)

Best regards,

Jan
