Unpublishing Project Plans

P

Peter Hass

We are running Project 2002 Server. Is there a way to
unpublish a project schedule but not delete it? We would
like to save an unpublished version of a schedule.

Peter:

The default version of a project is "published" meaning it is visible in the
Project Center views. Therefore, in order to have any version of a project
on the server, it must be published. You can hide it from view by using
customizing groups and categories. You can also save an mpp file copy or
import it into another Project Server instance.

So, just as a way of clarification - once it's published
to Server - it's there permanently? No way to delete it
if major changes occur?

Thanks!

You can delete a project from Admin > Cleanup Project Server Database. You
can also edit the plan directly on the server.
