Unsent messages

When I open Microsoft Mail I receive the following message:

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was 'Dr. Marilyn W. Andrulis ([email protected])'. Subject 'From Trish Freeman (PERSONAL)', Account: 'pop.east.cox.net', Server: 'smtp.east.cox.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.5.0 <Dr. Marilyn W. Andrulis ([email protected])> '@' or '.' expected after 'Dr.Marilyn'', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79


I do not find ANY messages in the Out box or the Sent box to delete. How can I fix this error message, it is very annoying.

Sorry, but this newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database
product that's part of Office Professional.

You'd be best off reposting your question to a newsgroup related to Windows
Mail (such as microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail)

Please note that it's preferable to post to newsgroup in plain text, not
