Unspecified Error when replying to message

I've got an Outlook XP user connected to Exchange 2000 who gets "Unspecified
Error" when replying to messages from outside the company. It only happens
when he edits the reply for more than about two or three minutes. After
clicking "Ok" to the "Unspecified Error" message, he is returned to the reply
but cannot send. His work-around is to cut and paste his reply into a new
reply and send it (quickly).

I have the same problem. The good thing was the account I was using was a new
one so it narrowed down the things that could be causing this problem. I was
constantly playing with the signature function on Outlook so it finally dawn
on me that this is related to the editing function of the Signature field
when cutting and pasting your signature from Word. Removed signature, no more
error message. I recreated my signature without using the advanced editing
function and now I don't have the error anymore.

Hope this helps!
