Unstack column or an array?

I have 3 columns. One=values, one=month, one=part type.
I want to unstack into new columns where I have three
columns for each part type: part type, month, value.

Or, is there a way to write an array formula so that it
would give me a sum by month by part type? So, if I have
3 part types and 3 months of values for each part type I
would get 9 calculated sums.

Actually I want to calculate a value much more complex
than sum.

Any help would certainly be appreciated!

To summarize the data, you could build a pivot table from the data, with
Part Type and Month in the row area, and Value in the data area.
