unsubmitted timesheet

Hi

I have an Admin project whose project start date is 1st
feb 2004. from 1st of april a new resource joined my
organisation & i had to add this resource in the resource
pool & assign the admin tasks to this new guy

I have a prob now. though this guy joined only on 1st
april, he has been asked to submit his time sheet from 1st
feb which is not right. I have entered the 01-04-2004' as
the available from date for the new resource. It still
dint work out

Any suggestion to resolve this prob

You might try the following:

1. Open the admin project in question
2. Select the first task to which the resource is assigned
3. Click Window - Split
4. Right click in the lower viewing pane and select "Resource Schedule"
from the shortcut menu
5. Change the assignment Start date for the resource in question to
01-04-2004
6. Click OK
7. Repeat steps #2-6 for every task to which the resource is assigned in
the admin project
8. Click Collaborate - Publish - New and Changed Assignments and click OK

Thanks Dale

It worked & now his time doenst appear in the unsubmitted timesheets. Btw, is there any workaround to apply the same date for all the task of the projects in one go

I have another problem. When a task spans across week and if the actual is submitted for the current week, i could see the task in the timesheet view waiting for approval right from the week it started to the current week.. I had a task which spanned across 3 weeks. Though i have already accepted the previous 2 weeks actual, the same task is displayed in the "to be approved timesheet" list when i submitted the time for the current week

Any suggestion how to over come this prob. Thank you once again
