Unwanted file information displays at end of document - Why?

When opening a document in Word 2000, the document is fine
but at the end of the document a page or two of colons
along the left side and then what appears to be file
information is listed.

Any help would be GREAT!

Dave,

In the File Open Dialog box look at what is displayed in "Files of Type."
Change "Recover Text from any file" to "All Files" or "Word Files" or
practically any other option.
