Unwanted recurring appointments

Steve

Hi, I use Outlook 2007 with Windows Vista Home Edition. When I create a
simple appointment my system automatically creates it as a recurring
appointment. I have used Outlook since 1995 and know how to create a one
time appointment or a recurring appointment. It seems the recurring feature
is turned on perminanently. What's going on here with this program. When I
create my appointment I don't click the recurring button it just does it
automatically. What's going on here.

P.S. I think in 95 it was Schedule or Schedule + and then later on it became
Outlook.
