Hi,
I now have three workstations which exhibit similar symptoms. Maybe once or
twice a day, when the left mouse button is clicked in a paragraph, a section
of text is selected as if the Shift button was held down during the mouse
click. When the mouse is clicked anywhere in the document, the same thing
happens. I have found that if I use the Shift key and click the mouse in the
selected text, then the behaviour goes back to normal.
This problem happens intermittently and I have tried replacing keyboard and
mouse with no success.
Although, it can be stopped by Shift-clicking in the selected text, the
users are becoming annoyed with the problem and would like me to resolve it.
We use Office 2000 SP3 with Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
Any suggestions?
