Update a report by entering a date

I have a sales report that goes out daily, I would like to have the report
automatically update by entering a date.

Sales are week to day (Sat - Sun) and FYTD (July 1)

Aslo, the sales results are extracting from SQL

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

The way I see your issue...

The query supporting your report could have a criteria set to Now()-1 for a
date field, for a report based on the yesterday data or a parameter in the
criteria to something as the following:
[For which date to you want the report to run]
For a period, you could have the following:
Between [StartDate] and [End Date]
