Update an EnterpriseCustomField in PWA?

On a weekly basis, I would like to have PM's report their physical % complete
through PWA in an existing custom task field.

Can the grid control within PWA be easily modifed to add this custom field
and make it editable?

I believe the best approach would be to teach your PM's to update the
Physical % Complete field in the actual Microsoft Project plan. Hope this
helps.
