update links

hi, i can't change links from automatic to manual update.
the manual option is alway "grey" an cant be chosen.

i can change the option "update when open workbook".

if i set the option "manual calculation" then the links are updated
when i press "F9"

but i want the manual update option to work.

help please

That update option only applies to 'remote links', that is, links to other
applications.
