Current configuration, W2K, SP4 with all the latest
patches Office 2K3 pro.
I closed all open programs and installed all the latest
appropriate updates this morning, no reboot required...
Upon opening Outlook I could not connect to the Exchange
server and 'Network Neighborhood' was missing from my
desktop.
There were no network outages, I could connect to Exchange
with my account from an identical machine that did not
have the updates installed yet.
A restart of my primary system replaced 'Network
Neighborhood' and restored connection to the Exchange
server.
Just an FYI, maybe the latest patches should require a
restart.
