Update: STILL cannot uninstall office! Why can't I just drag it to trash?

Long story short: I've done every single step to uninstall office to
no avail. Is there some place in the ownership/permissions area that I
need to address? Now Word "unexpectedly quits', which is even more
distressing than not having spellcheck. This problem has not been

Unless you "reply to" your previous post, I have no idea which earlier
messages you are referring to. I am afraid I cannot help you because I do
