update thinks I have office 2003 for mac..I don't use a mac..pc

New teacher/student install. Go to update but get message that says it thinks
i have a mac and to go to the mac site. del activation file and redid that.
same message. rebooted. same message

That wasn't the message I got but the article did cover the problem. Norton
Internet Security is the cause. Turn it off, update works fine. I'm working
thru the NIS help files (not to good) to add update to trusted sites or
somehow allow updates to run while NIS is active.
