updates for rule limits?

What are the details for this issue?
It's an Exchange limitation. While in Exchange 2003 and previous you could
have up to 32KB of rules, this limit on Exchange 2007 is 256KB. When you use
Outlook without Exchange, there is no limit (besides a practical one).

Consider using multiple techniques for sorting and not only use rules.

thank you- excuse my lack of knowledge on alot of this :) ~ as far as I
know, our server has 2003, but my computer and my boss' computer have 2007. I
am trying to organize her email- I have about 65 alerts set up for her, and
its not accepting all of them. I asked our IT guy about it, he said there
were space constraints on 2007.

I'm confused by your post as you are mixing things which are not related to
each other. Let me see if I understand you correctly;
our server has 2003, but my computer and my boss' computer have 2007
That means that you are limited to 32KB of rules. Your version of Outlook
doesn't play a role here but the version of Exchange.
I have about 65 alerts set up for her
What kind of alerts? You mean rules? What do these rules do?
That's a lot of rules by the way. Don't make managing your rules harder than
managing your emails. See the guide I referred to for other sorting options.
its not accepting all of them
Having 65 rules fills up the 32KB. It sounds about the limit. There is no
limit to the amount of rules itself only to the size and the more complex
the rule is, the more space it will need. Having 65 rules must mean they are
not very complex and I'm actually a bit surprised that you managed to have
that many within the 32KB limit ;-)
I asked our IT guy about it, he said there
were space constraints on 2007.
I'm very interested to know what he was referring to within this context. As
I said before; it's not an Outlook limitation.
