Updates for sldshow.js ?

I have been informed there is a security problem with "sldshow.js" (FP 2003
Photo album). My site was recently hacked so, how do I get this update?

Sorry I don't know how it all works, I thought that was the script file.
Maybe it's another file.

I was told there was a security problem with the photo gallery in Frontpage.
Is there an update for this?

While the FrontPage galleries have display problems, there are no
security problems with them. The galleries are in essence a collection
of images, links and JavaScript, the same as any other pages in your web
site - all of this [gallery scripts, links etc] works client-side, so
the galleries are as secure as the users PC. No updates are required or
necessary. Though to overcome the display problems in FireFox and other
(non-IE) browsers another type of gallery should be used.

As Steve indicated, you should look elsewhere for the reasons your site
was hacked.

Thanks for the info. As for Firebirds/Godzilla/Linus/etc etc who cares
that's their fault if they use some whacko non-standard browser! ;)

Firefox and many others are not considered non-standard. If you have any
respect for your visitors, you'll respect the browser they use and make
things render properly.

Firefox is picking up a lot of users these days, and many people are using
it as a default browser.

Including me.

Firefox and other non-IE browsers amount to nearly a third (over 31%) of
the traffic on my web site, with Internet Explorer losing ground daily.
The same is happening on most websites - see global stats at
http://thecounter.com (which shows nearly a quarter of browsers are
non-IE), or http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp which
shows IE only has 54% (just over half) the browser share.
Check your own site stats to see how well IE is standing up against the
opposition.

Informed by who?

..js files are "browser client side" files, I really doubt that the sldshow.js file is the reason your site was
hacked.
