updates for trial version

are office 2003 trial version allowed to get online office updates. I've
tried it but it wouldn't install.

On January 31 in the Office General Questions newsgroup, you said
that your Office 2003 trial version had expired. You cannot
apply updates to an expired trial version.

I installed a new trial version product key as I'm still waiting for my
purchase of the full version. Automatic updates have made the download but I
can't install them.

garfield-n-odie's answer still applies. Even if you got a new product key for the trial version that you had already installed it will not work
