Updates of Office Enterprise 2007 keep failing with "unknown error

B

Brian

Windows keeps trying to update my installation of Office Enterprise 2007 with
the following updates:

- KB953195 (Office Suite Service Pack 2)
- KB968503 (Outlook 2007 filter against unwanted e-mails)

Upgrading fails every time with an "unknown error"; 80070641 (this is not
very helpful).

I tried to download the packages to my system before applying them, but to
no avail. I also tried to re-install the complete Office package and then
apply the upgrades "first thing", but still without any success.

I have tried to check some of the general causes (according to some
Microsoft articles), but there is plenty of diskspace and no obsolete disk
references in my system.

I am really stuck, so I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I have the same problem. No install cd's from dell. I haven't had a
successful install of an office update since August of 2007. PC-cillin is now
telling me that one of the failed updates is leaving my system vulnerable and
would like to fix this problem I've seen MANY reports of the same problem but
no viable solution. Someone please help us.

Sorry but we do not know if it is Pirated or not. You should have gotten these
