Updates when a PM is out

How are updates accepted for a project if the PM that they were sent to is out sick? Is the answer changing the owner?When you transfer ownership the updates already sent don't get rerouted..or do they when you change the owner

To solve your problem, you will need to change the Manager of the project,
and depending on your organization's security settings, you may also need to
change the Owner of the project as well. Refer to the following link for
