Sorry, but there is no error message in Outlook that mentions "errors in fir".
Do not paraphrase error messages. Include their exact and complete text
verbatim. Include your Outlook version, Windows version, and account type as
well.

Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The
set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have been detected in the filt
C:\Users\Pattie\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\PattieNew.pst. Quit Outlook
and all mail-enabled applications, and then use the Inbox repair tool
(Scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file. For more info about
the Inbox repair tool, see Help. That is the entire message. If I can't
open Outlook at all how can I view Help? I'm so lost. All contacts/emails I
use for work are here. Thanks

So, exactly what happens when you use the Inbox Repair Tool like the message
says? Saying "didn't work" doesn't help.
