Is it true?

How he can get these updates? He strongly insist on downloading updates from webste.

Could you plese recommend me what he should do?
Is it possible to donwload all updtates via webste (I am able to search maily last versions)?

If he has version 10.x the release is Office X which preceded the release
known as Office 2004 (11.x). There is no free *update* from one release to
another - he must purchase an up*grade* to Office 2004 or Office 2008
(12.x). Office 2004 is no longer shipping so it may be a little difficult to
find the upgrade package. [Alternatively he can repurchase the full retail
package of either rather than the upgrade, of course.]

However, I'd further suggest that he evaluate Office 2008 thoroughly before
upgrading to it. It has some nice new features but is significantly
different in some respects & doesn't support VBA (macros). He also might
want to consider upgrading his Office X to the most current (10.1.9 -
although it will not be updated any further) & wait for the next major
release (probably ~2 years away). If he wants the upgrade for Office X it
can be downloaded from here:
