Upgrade From 3.1

We purchased licensing for Groove 3.1 well over a year ago and was wondering
when we might expect the next upgrade? While the software more or less works,
the interface can sure use some improvement, and the issues with high
bandwidth usage while idle needs to be addressed (permanently).

I assume there is a major upgrade in the works? Any idea on a release?

I did some more digging and it looks like the next upgrade for Groove
includes Microsoft Office? We don't need or have any interest in Microsoft
Office, (we use OpenOffice), we just want the functionality that Groove
offers with some interface and stability improvements. Please don't tell me
that customers who purchase Groove 3.1 are just going to be abandoned...

Hi,

Next version of Groove will be 2007 and be a part of office 2007. However,
you can choose Groove without binding to other office products. Groove 2007
has improved stability and intergration with office 2007 and it can be used
statnd alone as well.

That is good news! I have been reading through the Microsoft Office with
Groove Beta page and it is not clear about this point. Seems to indicate that
Groove is only available integrated into office. As the beta is a one way
only upgrade, I think I will wait for the production release.

I assume of course that I can just upgrade to Groove 2007 without having to
buy licensing to all the other office stuff. Right?
