upgrade from office 2000 to 2003 issue

hi..

have a customer who recently upgraded from office 2k to 2003. previously 2k
have a "open office document" on the start menu.
2k3 does not. is there any way to enable this in 2k3.

It should have been installed. Try a Repair install of office..
