Upgrade from Office 2003

Does anyone know if Microsoft is working on a new version of Office that
will supercede 2003?

Yes, eventually there will be a new version. However, at this time I don't
believe any further details have been made public.

I am using Speech recognition in Word 2003. It is engine 6.1.Wwill be coming
next version of SR engine?

Hi Tali,

MS Office is a 'client' (user) of the MS Speech Engine.
Office generally uses the latest one available when the
Office product version initially ships, but whether the
speech engine http://microsoft.com/speech
will ship as part of Office or Windows for the 'next release'
or what features will be implemented in the next version
of MS Office is not known.
