Hello,
We are considering upgrading to Project 2003 Server as soon as its
available. However I have been told that the Export to Excel feature on the
Portfolion Analyser feature is designed to work with Excel XP or later.
Is that true ?
The problem is that we don't plan to upgrade to Office XP for some time due
to budet constraints, vut the additional features of Porject Server 2003
definitely make it worthwhile for us to upgrade to.
However we still need the ability to export to excel from the PA and
Resource Assignment views.
Is it possible to make the export to Excel routine Project 2003 work with
Office 2000 ??
Frankly if the answer is that we HAVE to upgrade to Office XP or later then
the cost of deploying across all our users becomes so prohibitive that we
may well have to consider an alternative solution (from an alternative
vendor). I'd prefer not to do this obviously but the export to excel is
quite important to us !
I can't believe that Microsoft would be so short sighted as to force this on
users - it seems like they would be shooting themselves in the foot !
Regards
Gary
