Hi PMG,

Any Office 2000 edition can be used as a qualifying product for any Office 2003 edition you choose. So yes, Office 2003
Professional upgrade will install. It will not remove Office 2000 Programs that have no replacement in Office 2003 Professional,
including.
FrontPage
PhotoDraw
Small Business Tools

The Office Small Business Management Edition 2006 (not Small Business Edition 2003) upgrade is the 'biggest' package now available.
It includes MS Office 2003 Professional Edition plus MS Office Small Business Accounting 2006.

=============
Was I not clear? We currently have Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Premium. >>

You know,

When I see an exchange like this, it makes me think that when some people
dont know what the heck they are talking about, they want to say something
anyway so they LOOK like they are not "Full of it".

In this case, the question is - can Office 2000 PREMIUM EDITION can be
upgraded to Office 2003 PROFESSIONAL ?- This is a very good question because
the questioner (PMG) is obviously aware that you cannot upgrade to a "Higher
Level". We all know that Office 2000 Standard cannot be upgraded to
Professional because the STANDARD suite does not contain all of the
Qualifying products required...

So the question requires an analysis of what products are included in the
2000 PREMIUM SUITE and compare it to PROFESSIONAL, ie, is PREMIUM higher than
PROFESSIONAL?

The answer is that yes, PREMIUM is higher than PRO and so can be upgraded.
Although the products Frontpage and Photodraw - Which are in the Premium Suite
will not be upgraded.

Next time, give the guy a straight answer instead of all this gobbledygook
about a bunch of crap that means NOTHING to someone who has a simple question
and needs a straight answer. Especially telling him that there is no such
thing as Premium - was just out and out WRONG!

You seem a bit confused.

The first answer was Yes,
the second answer is there isn't a Premium, applies to Office 2003.

And a link.
Speaking of not being "Full of it". You don't seem to know/understand
that even MS Works much less MS Office 2000 Standard can be upgraded to
Office 2003 Professional.

And you posted because?

Good day

You know,

You've just proven your own point, because you don't know what
the heck you are talking about and you are "Full of it" when you
say that an equal or higher version is required for upgrade. The
following products are all qualifying products for upgrade to
Office 2003 Professional:
• Microsoft Office XP Developer, Office XP Professional with
FrontPage®, Office XP Professional Special Edition, Office XP
Professional with Publisher, Office XP Professional, Office XP
Small Business Edition, Office XP Standard
• Microsoft Office 2000 Developer, Office 2000 Premium, Office
2000 Professional, Office 2000 Small Business Edition, Office
2000 Standard
• Microsoft Office 97 Professional, Office 97 Small Business
Edition (version 2), Office 97 Small Business Edition (version
1), Office 97 Standard
• Microsoft Works 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, or 8.5
• Microsoft Works Suite 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, or
2006

By the way, "PMG" could have found this list on the side of the
box. Question is, what is the source of your disinformation?
