Upgrade to 2003, what DON'T I need?

Since I no longer need Office XP for compatibility with work and since
I run Office 2003 on my Vista install I thought I'd upgrade my
WindowsXP to Office 2003.

All went smoothly, it deleted Office XP (or said it did) and Front Page
2003 upgraded Front Page XP (or said it did). All is working and a
bunch of the old files, etc. got deleted so my question is:

What is left over from Office XP other than shortcuts? Is there stuff
I should/can delete that applies only to the older versions?

Thanks in advance.

it depends on what type of install you did..
since there is an option to leave the old versions so they can
work side by side..

No, I let the new install remove the old installation.
why did you not just do an uninstall before installing the new
one?

To be sure my settings were saved. It seemed to work, no problems so
far...

Oh, one unrelated question, in Outlook 2003, when I customize the view
for my inbox (just an example) such as turning off the reading pane and
customizing the current view, how can I make all the settings universal
for all folders? I've not figured that out in any version of Outlook.
It's not very important since I seldom ever use Outlook but it's got me
wondering....

Thanks, not what I'm looking for.

I never recommend using any registry cleaners as it is always a crapshoot with them. And if you lose, you lose big time.

ccleaner stands for CRAP_CLEANER!

If it works and is upgraded I would leave it be.

It is very hard to give advice on this since the computer is not in front of me to tell

I know, what I'm looking for is files belonging specifically to Office
XP that Office 2003 didn't delete, I was hoping someone might have a
list of them.

I know in the Program Files directory on XP (where I updated Office XP
to Office 2003) I have a BUNCH of files that are not in Program Files
X86 in my Vista install. Vista had Office 2003 from the beginning so
it might be safe to consider renaming some of the exta files and see
what happens?

Actually, the whole thing may be moot, I'm very close to a wipe and
fresh install, I'm changing HDs and I plan on installing Vista Ultimate
64 on the new drive using my Acronis image, there's some possibility
that Windows XP won't get put back because Vista's working pretty well
now and all my hardware is working OK.... Gotta buy a CD thingy, Nero
or Roxio and I'll be ready......
