upgrade to 2007, desktop/laptop, OEM Office2003

Here's what I have:
OEM Office 2003 on desktop, winXPpro

Here's what I'm buying:
new laptop, with vistapremium, OEM Works and Office 2007 student teacher
edition 60 day trial (the latter which I will promptly remove).

Here's what I want to do:
buy Office 2007 standard, and standalone oneNote2007 and install them on
both computers (yes I'm the only user)

Here are my concerns:
Can I confidently buy the upgrade of 2007 and OneNote 2007 and install them
on both machines, by virtue of 2003 on the desktop, and Works on the laptop?
Outlook 2003 to 2007: the only thing I use '03 for is email. Will the
emails show up in 2007 reliably? (yes I'll back up before I do ANYTHING)
Any issues for installing 2007, first on desktop (XPpro) and then on laptop
(Vista)?
