Upgrade to 2008 from previously purchased 2004

I was wondering if anyone knows if it will be possible to buy an upgrade to
Office 2008 if I bought 2004 back in July or would I have to buy it at the
full price? Thanks.

According to this press release:

http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2007/sep07/09-24ParisExpoPR.mspx

upgrade pricing will be

Office 2008 for Mac: US$239.95 (vs. $399.95)
Office 2008 for Mac Special Media Edition: US$299.95 (vs. $499.95)

I see the date of effect isn't mentioned on the "Super Suite Deal" page at
www.microsoft.com/mac/go/promotions/supersuitedeal/, nor in the press
release: "Today also marks the start of the technology guarantee program
that allows customers in select regions who purchase qualifying Office 2004
for Mac product(s) to upgrade to a version of Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac
for only the cost of shipping, handling and applicable taxes. More
information about the program specifics in various regions is available at
local Office for Mac Web sites." I vaguely recall it was as of the day of
the announcement, 25 September. Who knows? -- why not try them?...
