Upgrade to Office 2002

We recently upgraded several users in our office from
Office 97 to 2002. They are all having problems with
documents becoming read-only. What could be causing this?

The only scenario I can think of is that you've failed to activate the
product within the allotted 50 uses. Did you do so?
