Upgrade to PS 2003

Hi,
has anyone upgraded an existing instance of PS 2002 to PS2003. Have you
encountered any problems?

Thanks

Hi Nacho,

Upgrading the database itself is very straightforward as there is only about
1 new table and a few new fields.

The painful part is SharePoint Team Services. If you are using Issues or
Documents in P2002, you will find that upgrading the Server to Windows
Server 2003 is the best approach (i.e. do not format the hard drive and
install the OS anew). Read the online support files that come with the
Project Server CD so you don't get caught off guard.

Is there only one database to upgrade? The person who installed PS2002 at
my client has since left and did not leave any documentation on the build.
If I review the logs on the SQL server which hosts the databases, I see two
DB names:

servername_LM_W3SVC_1_Collab
ProjectServer

Do I have to run the UPG10DB.CMD command against both those DB's or just the
servername_LM_W3SVC_1_Collab?

Thanks

The servername_LM_W3SVC_1_Collab is the STS database.

Check the Project Server 2003 Help file for information on upgrading from
STS to WSS.
