We have a number of computers being upgraded from 2000 to XP and it seems as
if the permissions for accessing data by Access only, have been seriously
compromised. The same data can be accessed by other components in the Office
Suite and other programs such as Crystal Reports, but the error we
consistantly get when trying to open a query is "Reserved error (-7778);
There is no message for this error" and when you try for more information you
get some drivel about more of the same and a reference to (error 3000)
Does anyone know of why this one application within Office reacts in such a
way?
The DSN is on a mapped network drive.
