Upgraded Office & can not find old emails or contacts

I just upgraded to Office 2007 & when I opened Outlook none of my emails or
contacts are there. Is there any way I can retrieve this information.

Upgrade installations are not recommended with Outlook. Most likely yours
created a new empty data file. Just find your previous data file and open it
in Outlook.

I recently did the same thing. I don't recall having any problem acquiring
my old data though. I didn't uninstall my old Outlook. And it seems to me
I had to map the new Outlook to tell it where to find the .pst file. Not
much help, but it may get you started.

The problem is that I can not find any pst on my computer. I found a folder
labeled contacts it has data in, but I can not open it or import it.

You have to search to include hidden for *.pst
What do you find?
