Frustrated with setup!

I currently have Office '03 installed and no trial version of '07. However,
when I tried to upgrade to '07, I get an error saying that PA561401.cab
cannot be located. I have retried, and rebooted, and cancelled, all to no
avail. Where can I get the .cab file?

What about the 2003 disk? Have you checked there? When I searched the
Microsoft Knowledgebase (http://support.microsoft.com) for PA561401.cab I
found this article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896301 so that would
imply it's a 2003 file that's not found or maybe the cached installation
files in MSOCACHE are missing or corrupt.

If you have the 2003 disk you can try inserting that on the upgrade instead
of having setup detect 2003 installed on the machine. When you get the error
if there's a place in the message box window to browse to locate the file
insert the 2003 disk and click OK.

That is the problem, I do not have the 2003 disk. So, I assume that means I
cannot upgrade? Or is there anyway around that .cab file?

There's not anyway around that .cab file that I'm aware of, but even if
there was it's not a good idea to be without the previous qualifying media
when you upgrade. Call (800) 360-7561 (if you're in the U.S.) and order a
replacement disk, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302822 for more info,
the number for Canada's in that article too.

I will do that! Thank you for your help, I appreciate it!! Have a great day!
